1899 Barber Half, PR66 Cameo
Scarce Finer
1899 50C PR66 Cameo NGC. While the mintage of proofs was
among the more impressive of the design at 846 coins, survivorship
has dwindled this figure, and even fewer have been seen with Cameo
attribution. Rich mercurial-silver luster adorns this piece with
well-mirrored fields and frost on all the devices. This piece is
among the more accessible 1899 Cameo examples and will be an ideal
opportunity for type collectors. NGC Census: 8 in 66 Cameo, 17
