Nearly Perfect 1902 Barber Half, PR67
1902 50C PR67 NGC. One would be hard pressed to find a more attractive and better preserved proof Barber half. This is just an extraordinary coin. The fields are deeply mirrored on each side, and this intense reflectivity serves to highlight the lovely toning. Both obverse and reverse have the same colors: emerald green and smoky gray-rose, but the configuration is different on each side. Much of the original brilliance still is in evidence in the center of the obverse. There are virtually no flaws on this coin. A check-shaped lint mark is barely visible behind Liberty's mouth, but we do not see any other pre- or post-striking impairments.
