1903 50C PR67 Cameo PCGS. CAC. The PCGS Population
Report provides telling insight into the scarcity of Cameo
representatives. While the service has graded 262 1903 Barber half
proofs, it has awarded only 13 coins the Cameo designation and this
Superb Gem is among the four finest (7/14). The Philadelphia Mint
struck just under 2.3 million business strikes and 775 proofs for
the issue. Despite the former's seemingly high mintage, it is a
sleeper in the series, heightening demand for the proofs. The
nearly flawless surfaces demonstrate outstanding contrast. Thick
mint frost covers the devices and the jet-black fields show immense
reflectivity. Overall, this is a stunning and unsurpassed
