Impressive PR67 ★ 1906 Half Dollar
1906 50C PR67 ★ NGC. As of (8/08), only three proof 1906 half dollars have received a Star designation from NGC. The present crisply struck Superb Gem is stone-white without a trace of toning, just as it fell from the dies more than a century ago. White on black contrast is noticeable, particularly on the reverse, although the frost on the portrait apparently falls just short of a Cameo designation.(Registry values: N4719)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 24PA, PCGS# 6553, Greysheet# 6669)
