Well-Contrasted CAC Coin
1908 50C PR66 Cameo PCGS. CAC. A boldly struck Premium Gem
Cameo example of this proof issue, boldly struck save for the
slightest softness on the right shield corner. This piece displays
appreciable contrast and deep mirrors, with untoned surfaces. While
the level of contrast is not quite of the Deep Cameo
classification, it is exceptional for the issue, since no Deep
Cameo 1908 proofs are reported at PCGS for this issue. Population:
9 in 66 (1 in 66+) Cameo, 3 finer. CAC: 4 in 66, 2 finer
