1911 50C PR65 NGC. Only 543 proof Barber halves were struck in 1911, the third-lowest mintage of the series. The coin offered here is patinated in shades of violet and gold at the peripheries while the central devices remain frosty and brilliant. This remarkable Gem is sharply detailed in most areas, with just the slightest softness evident on the right shield point and adjacent wing. Census: 35 in 65, 36 finer (2/11).
