Description

1911 Half Dollar, PR66
Attractively Toned, Deeply Mirrored

1911 50C PR66 PCGS. CAC. There are some noteworthy Barber halves in this auction, both business strikes and proofs. This is one of the proofs to take note of. The centers are light in hue, almost brilliant (but not quite), and the margins are encircled by deep blue. Of course, the fields are deeply reflective. The devices and fields show moderate contrast, but not enough to warrant a Cameo designation; still enough to give the coin extra "pop" in the eye appeal department. Population: 13 in 66, 10 finer (3/12).(Registry values: N2998)

Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 24PF, PCGS# 6558, Greysheet# 6683)

Weight: 12.50 grams
