Description

1911 Fifty Cent, PR67
Obverse Field-Motif Contrast

1911 50C PR67 NGC. CAC. This is a lovely Superb Gem proof by any standards, a coin that even lovers of untoned coins could scarcely fail to appreciate. The obverse features generous field-device contrast with areas of orange, amber-gold, and steel-blue dominating, while the reverse shows prevailing orange and olive, an unusual but appealing combination. Neither side reveals singular contact, and the strike is sharp save for the usual area on the reverse. Census: 8 in 67, 6 finer (7/13).
