Peripherally Toned PR68 1892 Quarter
Ex: Hugon Collection
1892 25C PR68 NGC. CAC. Ex: Hugon Collection. Type Two
Reverse. The obverse of this magnificent PR68 specimen has a
mixture of iridescent sun-gold, cherry-red, forest-green, and
powder-blue colors. The reverse is brilliant save for a butter-gold
ring throughout the border. The strike is razor-sharp, and the
surfaces are gloriously preserved. Mirrored fields highlight
frosted motifs at all angles. An outstanding coin and the sole
non-Cameo PR68 specimen to secure a CAC bean.Ex: Hugon Collection (Heritage, 1/2005), lot 4174, which realized $9,775.
