    1893 Quarter, Contrasted PR67
    Outstanding Color and Surfaces

    1893 25C PR67 NGC. CAC. The 1893 proof is scarce at the Superb Gem level, particularly with cameo contrast. This piece is housed in a prior generation, non-Cameo holder but showcases obvious contrast on both sides. The devices are cast in warm champagne toning, and the mirrored fields display violet, peach, and ocean-blue hues. The stars and the eagle's talons and shoulder are sharp. CAC has endorsed five coins in this grade and two finer. Census: 19 in 67 (2 in 67 ), 12 finer (2/16).
