    Description

    1893 Quarter, PR68 Cameo
    Original Multicolor Toning
    A Proof of Unsurpassable Stature

1893 25C PR68 Cameo PCGS. CAC. The quality of this second-year Barber quarter is outstanding in every conceivable regard. From a visual standpoint, each side displays the colorful, original tones that one always hopes to find but seldom does. Peach-gold, magenta, and cobalt-blue progress from the centers out without masking the field reflectivity or inhibiting the bold Cameo contrast. Technically, the strike is fully executed, and marks are wholly unseen. Truly a rare opportunity to obtain a proof of this stature. It is difficult to imagine an example with better eye appeal than the one offered as part of this lot. PCGS, NGC, and CAC each report eight submissions in PR68 Cameo and none finer (6/17).(Registry values: N4719)
