    Scarce 1894 Barber Quarter PR66 Cameo

    1894 25C PR66 Cameo PCGS. The obverse has a coating of golden-brown, gold, cobalt-blue, and purple-red that frames the bright and nearly untoned center, while the reverse has dusky sea-green and golden-tan patina. The strike is razor-sharp, with the corners of the shield and the fletchings all delivered with exquisite detail. The cameo contrast is attractive if not stark, and the surfaces are magnificently preserved. Just 972 pieces were struck. Population: 9 in 66 Cameo, 3 finer (9/06).(Registry values: N2998)
