    1894 Barber Quarter, PR68 ★ Cameo
    Gorgeous Rainbow Toning, Ex: Gardner

1894 25C PR68 ★ Cameo NGC. The 1894 had one of the higher proof mintages of the period and is proportionately available in grades through PR66. Finer pieces, however, are conditionally scarce and major rarities at the lofty PR68 level, with or without a Cameo designation. Fully rendered design elements beautifully accent the deep mirroring in the fields on each side of this stellar coin amid vivid, concentric bands of rainbow toning. The relief elements are noticeably frosted with modest cameo contrast, despite the array of toning over each side. Census: 1 in 68 Cameo (1 in 68 Cameo), 1 finer (1/16).

The marketing was exceptional from the photos to the ads in Civil War Times and North South Trader for the cross over people!!! I have had many emails from my Civil War collecting fraternity that saw these and I saw them at the national show in Nashville/Franklin in early December.
