    Description

1895 25C PR64 PCGS. An exquisitely struck cream-gray near-Gem. The portrait appears to provide mild cameo contrast, although not designated as such by its green label holder. Like most 1895 proofs, a raised lintmark (as made) is southeast of the eye. A lengthy slender thread is struck onto the neck and jaw, an interesting mint error. Just 880 pieces were struck.(#5681) (Registry values: N1793)
