Description
Finest Certified 1895 Quarter, PR68
1895 25C PR68 PCGS. CAC. The cherry-red centers cede to ocean-blue and forest-green margins with deeply mirrored fields that give the coin even more flash. A powerfully struck specimen that shows cameo contrast on the lightly toned central reverse. A raised lintmark near the eye is as made and diagnostic for the issue. However, the surfaces are essentially perfect with no observable contact marks. A mere 880 proofs were struck (an easy-to-remember number as that is the same number struck of the 1895 proof dollar). Population: 1 in 68, 0 finer (11/08).From The Scott Rudolph Collection.
