Impressive 1896 Quarter, PR65 Cameo
1896 25C PR65 Cameo PCGS. Brilliant save for a hint of tan patina on Liberty's neck and three or four tiny obverse toning flecks. Obvious icy frost on the devices and deep mirror fields approach a Deep Cameo designation, and the pinpoint-sharp strike is also worthy of mention. Only a few wispy slide marks on the cheek deny assessment at a higher grade. A scant 762 proofs were issued. Population: 6 in 65 Cameo, 13 finer (8/07).(Registry values: N1793)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 242B, PCGS# 85682, GSID# 5475)
