    Description

Superb 1896 Proof Quarter With Original, Captivating Patination

1896 25C PR67 PCGS. This coin is one of several exquisite proof 1896 Barber Quarters that this cataloger has had the privilege of handling over the past 12 months or so. The surfaces are beautifully toned in overlapping swirls of champagne, lilac, and golden shades that are a little more vivid on the obverse. The originality is beyond contestation, as is the Superb Gem quality of the smooth, fully brought up features. We wholeheartedly recommend a strong bid from the collector who wants to beat the competition and bring this coin home from Charlotte.
    From the Bay Area Collection.
