Gorgeous 1898 Quarter; Superb Deep Cameo Proof
1898 25C PR67 Deep Cameo PCGS. Hazy gold color adds to the appeal of this superb, deep-cameo proof quarter dollar. This has to be one of the finest survivors from a mintage of just 735 proof quarter dollars in 1898, despite a couple dozen higher grade coins. Examples with such a high degree of contrast between the devices and the fields are extremely desirable, and always hotly contested when they appear for public competition at auction.(#95684) (Registry values: N4719)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 242D, PCGS# 95684, GSID# 5482)
