    Description

    Magnificent 1899 Barber Quarter PR67 ★ NGC

1899 25C PR67 ★ Cameo NGC. The startling white-on-black contrast seen on both sides of this Superb Gem specimen is reminiscent of some modern, post-1950 proofs. Silver-white devices are beautifully frosted and sharply struck. The jet-black fields display unfathomable depths of mirrored reflectivity. An essentially pristine survivor from the final year of the 19th century. Of the eight pieces graded at MS67 Cameo, by NGC, this is the only one to achieve the coveted "Star" designation, denoting exceptional eye appeal. Census: 8 in 67 Cameo, 4 finer (11/06).
