    1899 25C PR67 NGC. This exquisitely struck and untoned Superb Gem has carefully preserved surfaces and pleasing eye appeal. A short lintmark (as made) below the eagle's right (facing) wing is mentioned solely for pedigree purposes. The 9s in the date are more open than on the preceding 1898 proof issue. A scant 846 pieces were produced.(#5685) (Registry values: P1, N3400)
