1900 Barber Quarter, PR67 Cameo
Fully Brilliant, Scarce Finer
1900 25C PR67 Cameo NGC. Ex: Grand Teton Collection. This
Superb Gem proof from the last year of the 19th century delivers
well-struck and detailed devices layered in frosty mint luster for
exceptional eye appeal. Highly reflective and fully brilliant
fields are mirror-like save for some slight hairlines that are only
visible under magnification, and pair with Liberty and the eagle to
deliver sharp contrast that earns this Barber quarter the Cameo
designation. There is die polishing (as struck) evident just below
and inside of Liberty's ear, and the right side of the eagle's
shield includes a few very small marks, otherwise this example is
remarkably well-preserved. Combined reporting from NGC and PCGS
reflects only 10 numerically finer in Cameo, and only two known
Deep or Ultra Cameos (3/25). Census: 16 in 67 Cameo (2 in
