Description

1900 Quarter, PR68, Fully Struck and
    Tied for Finest Certified

1900 25C PR68 NGC. CAC. This piece is a companion to the 1900 Barber half from the same consignor, also in the PR68 NGC grade, although this piece boasts the CAC green sticker as well. The three Barber silver coins saw proof mintages of 912 pieces each, amounts that were slightly more than in 1899 or 1901 likely due to the turn-of-the-odometer date. This piece is one of only seven non-Cameos certified in PR68 at NGC (9/12). The strike is complete throughout each side, with deeper color on the reverse, showing mottled copper, zinc-gray, and silver areas, while the obverse sports more-subtle grayish-pink patina. There are no mentionable marks on either side.(Registry values: N4719) (NGC ID# 43VN, PCGS# 5686)

    Weight: 6.25 grams

    Metal: 90% Silver, 10% Copper
