    Description

1901 25C PR66 Cameo NGC. The 1901 can be viewed as the "last chance" for collectors to obtain a Cameo example of the Barber quarter. Beginning in 1902 the method of manufacture for proofs changed to an all-brilliant finish, greatly reducing the possibility and availability of contrasted coins. This nicely cameoed proof is brilliant throughout, thus further enhancing the white-on-black finish. Problem-free, as expected from a coin in this grade. Census: 12 in 66 Cameo (1 in 66+), 22 finer (2/18).
Ex: Summer FUN Signature (Heritage, 7/2012), lot 3628.
From The Laguna Collection. (Registry values: N2998)

    Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 242G, PCGS# 85687)

    Weight: 6.25 grams

    Metal: 90% Silver, 10% Copper
