    Description

    1902 Quarter, Seldom-Seen PR68
    Wonderfully Patinated Surfaces

1902 25C PR68 NGC. Proof Barber quarters were produced in small numbers, especially in the later years of the series, and they provide a challenge for those assembling 20th century proof type sets. A mere 777 pieces were struck in 1902. This Superb Gem features superlative preservation and an impeccable strike. Wonderful patina in shades of purple and gold is accented with magenta and deep blue. The colors are much deeper at the borders, while the centers are near-brilliant. A fully original and exceptionally well-preserved piece. Census: 4 in 68, 0 finer (8/12).
Ex: FUN Signature (Heritage, 1/2005), lot 4184.
