1902 25C PR68 NGC. Proof Barber Quarters were produced in small numbers, especially in the later years of the series, and provide a challenge for those assembling 20th century proof type sets. A mere 777 pieces were struck in 1902. This Superb Gem features superlative preservation and a seemingly unimprovable strike. Wonderful toning shades of purple and gold are accented with magenta and deep blue under a strong light source. The colors are somewhat deeper at the border areas and the centers are nearly brilliant. A fully original, exceptionally well preserved piece. Population: 3 in 68, none are finer (11/04).(#5688) (Registry values: N4719)
