    Description

    Unusual Cameo-Contrasted 1903 Quarter
    Superb Gem Proof

1903 25C PR67 Cameo PCGS. CAC. In spite of the proof mintage of 755 pieces, few exist today in this grade. In fact, few existed in 1903 in this grade and with cameo contrast, as the Mint intentionally tried to match the fields and devices with equal brilliance. This is a sharply contrasted example that is mostly brilliant, but there is a rainbow of iridescence around the right rim of both sides. Exceptional quality. Population: 8 in 67 Cameo, 3 finer (9/11).(Registry values: N2998)

    Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 242J, PCGS# 85689)

    Weight: 6.25 grams

    Metal: 90% Silver, 10% Copper
