1903 Barber Quarter, PR67+
Rare Deep Cameo Example
Ideal for Registry Purposes

1903 25C PR67+ Deep Cameo PCGS. CAC. A grand total of only eight proof 1903 Barber quarters are reported in the Deep or Ultra Cameo category. These include four each at PCGS and NGC, with each service listing two in PR67 and two in PR68. It is possible duplications exist in these figures, as such coins almost never appear at auction. We have seen a Deep Cameo example of this issue only four previous occasions, the last of which was a PR67 Ultra Cameo NGC coin we offered in 2018. We last handled a PCGS Deep Cameo (graded PR68) in 2012.

This piece is the only Deep Cameo example of the 1903 proof issue to boast a Plus designation. The faintest trace of light golden color warms each side, while the devices are sharp and frosty. Profound field-motif contrast adorns each side, and the preservation is virtually flawless. Population: 2 in 67 (1 in 67+) Deep Cameo, 2 finer. CAC: 3 in 67, 1 finer (3/24).(Registry values: P1)
