    Description

    Magnificent 1906 Quarter, PR68

1906 25C PR68 NGC. It would appear, based on NGC and PCGS census and population figures, that a fair number of 1906 proof quarters, with a mintage of 675 pieces, have survived to the present day. The two services combined have certified approximately 360 examples. The pickings become quite sparse, however, when the lofty grade of PR68 is reached. Brilliant surfaces on this specimen seem to jump out at the observer. There are no noticeable hairlines, and sharply struck design features prevail throughout. A tiny fleck in the left obverse field identifies the coin. Census: 6 in 68, 0 finer (4/07).(Registry values: N4719)

    Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 242M, PCGS# 5692)

    Weight: 6.25 grams

    Metal: 90% Silver, 10% Copper
