Exemplary PR68 1907 Quarter
Ex: John C. Hugon Collection
1907 25C PR68 NGC. Ex: Hugon. This is a splendid Superb Gem
example with rich cobalt-blue color accented with magenta and
antique-gold over glassy surfaces on each side. Even close
examination with a loupe fails to disclose any spots or mentionable
post-striking defects. This one is certainly in the running for the
finest known 1907 proof quarter. Population by both services
combined: 14 in 68, none are finer (11/08).Ex: John C. Hugon Collection (Heritage, 1/2005), lot 4189, which realized $8,050.
