Magnificent PR68 1907 Quarter
1907 25C PR68 PCGS. CAC. Much cameo contrast is apparent on both sides of this lovely proof, although it is undesignated as Cameo on the first generation PCGS holder. Golden-russet toning graces close to half of the obverse, while the reverse is evenly patinated in honey-gold, plum-red, and sea-green. Type coins such as this piece have enduring popularity in the numismatic marketplace, and justly so. A scant 575 proofs were produced.Ex: Long Beach Signature (Heritage, 5/2008), lot 435, which realized $13,800.(Registry values: N4719)
