1908 Barber Quarter, PR67 Cameo
Magnificent Mirrors, Among the Finest
1908 25C PR67 Cameo NGC. Ex: Grand Teton Collection. Both
sides of this Superb Gem proof feature extraordinarily deep mirrors
accented magnificently with devices of shimmering, satiny luster.
Each side is virtually perfect, save for minor softness in the
strike on the right (facing) talons. Very soft hints of champagne
float on the edges, whereas the central devices are brilliant
silver-white. Eye appeal is exceptional, supported heavily by the
outstanding contrast that delivers the Cameo designation. Combined
reporting reveals no Deep or Ultra Cameo examples, and with only
two numerically finer Cameo examples known, this Superb Gem proof
is within the Condition Census, among the finest at NGC and PCGS
(3/25). Census: 5 in 67 Cameo, 2 finer (3/25).(Registry values: P1)From The Grand Teton Collection.
