    Description

Lightly Toned 1908 Quarter, PR67 Cameo, Tied for Finest PCGS Certified

1908 25C PR67 Cameo PCGS. While only 545 proof quarters were produced in 1908, PCGS and NGC have certified nearly 300 specimens, but a mere eight examples have been assigned the Cameo designation! Dappled, iridescent golden-brown patina on both sides is joined by mottled, iridescent cobalt-blue and lavender on the reverse border of this Superb Gem Cameo. A solid strike brings out sharpness in the design elements, save for minor softness in the eagle's left (right facing) talon and adjacent arrow feathers. Well preserved throughout. Population: 2 in 67 Cameo, 0 finer (4/07).(Registry values: P1)

    Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 242P, PCGS# 85694)

    Weight: 6.25 grams

    Metal: 90% Silver, 10% Copper
