    Description

    1908 Quarter, PR68
    Only 545 Proofs Struck

1908 25C PR68 NGC. The Mint struck 545 proof quarters in 1908. This is one of the few survivors to have reached the PR68 level, and it is clear to see why. Unmarked surfaces offer beautiful shades of dusky blue, violet, and rose-gold patina over each side, and the fields maintain terrific flashiness beneath the toning. That the strike is full should come as no surprise. Census: 6 in 68 (1 in 68 ), 0 finer (10/20).(Registry values: N4719)

    Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 242P, PCGS# 5694)

    Weight: 6.25 grams

    Metal: 90% Silver, 10% Copper
