    Brilliant-White Proof 1910 Quarter With Bold Cameo Contrast

    1910 25C PR67 Cameo NGC. A glorious Superb Gem representative of proof Barber coinage, this Quarter is devoid of both toning and bothersome handling marks. Rich mint frost further highlights the razor sharp devices, and the contrast with the reflective fields is unmistakable. An area of intense obverse die polishing (as produced) is noted around Liberty's ear. We last offered a similarly graded 1910 Quarter as lot 5612 in our November 2001 Santa Clara Signature Sale. That coin brought $3,450. Population: 7 in 67 Cameo, just three are finer (11/02).
