Description

1910 Quarter Dollar, PR67
Exceptional Quality and Color

1910 25C PR67 NGC. This piece has achieved its lofty grade through an unusual combination of Superb quality and exceptional color. Both sides are deeply mirrored and essentially flawless. Close examination with a glass fails to reveal any surface imperfections, marks, or hairlines. This Superb Gem is mostly apricot with a variegated blend of gold, blue, and rose that appears at certain light angles. This piece was obviously well cared for, and remains one of the finest survivors out of the original mintage of 551 proofs. Even in the rarefied atmosphere of the PR67 level, this coin is likely to be the first among equals. Census: 24 in 67 (1 in 67+), 9 finer (7/13).(Registry values: N2998)
