    Description

1911 25C PR65 Cameo NGC. Pinpoint striking details are noted throughout, along with immaculately preserved surfaces. The cameo contrast is impressive, as this lightly toned Gem has pleasingly frosted devices. A tiny lintmark (as made) serves as a pedigree marker near the right edge of the second R in QUARTER, and a single small contact mark is noted just beneath Liberty's mouth. Mintages of proof Barber coinage gradually diminished as the series progressed. Only 543 pieces were struck, which is the third lowest production of the type.(Registry values: N2998)
