    Description

    1911 Quarter, Sharply Struck PR66
    A Lower-Mintage Proof

1911 25C PR66 PCGS. CAC. The 543-piece proof mintage for the 1911 Barber quarter was one of the lowest in the series. The frosted motifs display mild contrast with the mirrored fields, more so on the reverse. The design elements are sharply struck, including the upper-right shield corner, the eagle's talons, and the arrow feathers, areas that sometime show weakness. This is a well-preserved coin. Population: 26 in 66 (1 in 66+), 25 finer (9/15).(Registry values: N2998)

    Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 242T, PCGS# 5697)

    Weight: 6.25 grams

    Metal: 90% Silver, 10% Copper
