    1914 Quarter, PR68, Variegated Toning
    None Certified Finer

1914 25C PR68 PCGS. CAC. The year 1914 marked a low point for silver proofs in the 20th century, with a published mintage of just 380 pieces and many of those experiencing some form of attrition or impairment. The present piece, by contrast, has come through the decades beautifully. Powerful mirrors shine through light, dappled rose and gold patina with occasional elements of periwinkle and violet. The preservation and visual appeal are equally magnificent, as demanded of the grade. Housed in a green label holder. Neither NGC nor PCGS has graded a numerically finer representative (8/12).
