    Description

    Superb Proof 1914 Quarter

1914 25C PR 67 PCGS. The 1914 proof quarter is distinctive because of its low mintage of only 380 pieces. This piece is surely at the top of those that survive of this scarce issue. The hairline-free example we offer here had deeply mirrored fields with thickly lustrous devices that yield a stunning cameo effect. This field-to-device contrast is abundantly evident even beneath the light golden toning that covers each side. Population: 10 in 67, 4 finer (4/01).

    Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 242W, PCGS# 5700)

    Weight: 6.25 grams
