Description
1915 Quarter, PR67 Cameo
Attractively Toned, Scarce Finer
1915 25C PR67 Cameo CACG. With collector interest in proof
coins on the decline, 1915 was the final year the U.S. Mint
produced Barber quarter proofs, and only 450 were minted. Most
surviving examples are in non-Cameo grades, with NGC and PCGS
combined reporting just 15 Cameos and no Ultra or Deep Cameos. This
Superb Gem proof is among the Condition Census (3/26).Although generally well-struck, there is slight softness on the right side of the reverse devices, which is typical of the series, and there is a faint diagonal mark on Liberty's neck. With brilliant central devices attractively framed by splashes of cobalt blue, lilac and champagne-gold, this delightful Barber quarter features rich, frosty luster in deeply reflective fields that are free of noticeable imperfections and deliver outstanding eye appeal.
