1909 Quarter, PR67 Cameo
High-End Condition Rarity
1909 25C PR67 Cameo NGC. The Guide Book of Barber Silver
Coins (2015) suggests 75 to 90 1909 Barber quarter proofs exist
in Gem or finer grades and the combined population data seems to
support that estimate. A fair percentage of those proofs exist in
Cameo or Deep Cameo format, but at the PR67 Cameo grade the
population thins out dramatically. This brilliant Superb Gem Cameo
example ranks among the dozen or so finest examples at NGC. The
strike is pinpoint-sharp strike throughout both sides. NGC Census:
