1841 1/2 C Original PR64 Red NGC. B-1, R.6. Breen Die State III, with a lengthy slender crack that connects stars 3 to 6 and approaches stars 2 and 7. The large berries differentiate the Original proofs from the First and Second Restrikes. A well-struck and radiant salmon-pink and yellow-gold near-Gem with deeply reflective fields on each side. A small spot within the hair above RT and a few nearly imperceptible hairlines on the upper obverse field decide the grade. Census: 2 in 64 Red, 0 finer (12/13). Our EAC grade PR64.
