    1856 Half Cent, PR63 Brown
    Scarce Proof Variety

1856 1/2 C PR63 Brown PCGS. CAC. B-3, R.4. Doubling on the denomination and wreath ribbon identifies the Breen proof variety. Well struck and void of contact. Deeply patinated with sea-green and rose-red undertones. Although traditionally designated as Rarity-4, the proof 1856 appears scarcer, since PCGS has certified just 39 specimens in all grades, a number of which are resubmissions over the past 27 years. Our EAC grade PR60.
