Better Breen-1 Variety

1856 1/2 C PR65 Brown PCGS. B-1, R.7 as a proof. Large rust pit on the I of UNITED. Most proof 1856 half cents are from a different reverse die (B-3) with doubling on CENT and the ribbon. This fully struck Gem offers reflective fields displaying deep ruby-red, orange-gold, olive, and navy-blue tints when rotated beneath a light. Carbon is minimal. Four pinpoint aqua flecks occur on the reverse. Encapsulated in a green label holder. Our EAC grade PR60. Population: 4 in 65 Brown, 0 finer (12/13).
