Superb Type Two 1913 Proof Nickel
1913 Type Two PR 67 PCGS. A near-match in overall quality and eye appeal to the Type One proof above (in 67), this piece differs with the addition of rich purple and golden patina that is spread evenly over each side. Close examination with a glass also reveals several tiny flyspecks of carbon, but these are almost imperceptible to the unaided eye and do not affect the beauty of this exquisite Type Two proof. Population: 27 in 67, only 1 finer (12/97).Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 278S, PCGS# 3990, GSID# 3151)
