Description

1913 5C Type One PR64 ANACS. A boldly struck near-Gem, showing every detail in its finest form. Both sides display a light layer of olive toning. The underlying surfaces are bright and lustrous, with less graininess and matte surfaces than are normally seen. This is an important coin not only for its high quality, but for its status as the first year of the new type and the first year of the new matte proof experiment in nickel coinage. This is a most satisfied customer's testimonial of a true gentleman in today's era. It is rare that one encounters through the course of life a person which one has read in childhood' s classics or seen in movies of old.
