Description
Desirable 1913 Buffalo Nickel, Type One, PR65
1913 5C Type One PR65 NGC. Only 1,520 proofs were struck of this one-year type, making the Type One nickel a very desirable coin for 20th century type collectors. This piece looks much finer than the stated grade. The coin is free from carbon spotting and shows no obvious contact marks. The satiny, lightly and evenly toned surfaces show the pronounced rippled effect of the matte proofing process that is characteristic of the issue. From The Brenda John Collection.(Registry values: N2998)
