Gem Proof Type One 1913 Buffalo
1913 5C Type One PR65 PCGS. CAC. A meticulously struck Gem with satin luster and outstanding eye appeal. Essentially as made save for light tan toning, a few microscopic flecks on the lower obverse, and one small spot on the N in UNUM. The sole year for the design subtype, since mint officials worried that FIVE CENTS would wear too quickly in circulation.(Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 278R, PCGS# 3988, GSID# 3150)
