Appealing 1913 Type One Buffalo Nickel, PR67
1913 5C Type One PR67 PCGS. CAC. A golden ring encircles the steel-blue centers, with rose accents on the reverse. The strike is full, and there are only a couple of nearly imperceptible contact marks. The surfaces have a distinctive rough texture, which was smoothed out for subsequent issues. A mere 1,520 proofs were struck. NGC and PCGS combined have certified only five proofs finer (6/09).(Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 278R, PCGS# 3988, GSID# 3150)
