Description

1913 Type Two Buffalo Nickel, PR66
Delicate Pastel Patina

1913 5C Type Two PR66 PCGS. CAC. This is an unquestioned matte proof, identified by the unique combination of fine-grain surface texture and needle-sharp detail throughout the relief elements. The soft, glowing luster is cast in pale pastel toning and there are no bothersome contact marks. The Type One and Type Two proofs of this issue had nearly identical mintages (1,520 versus 1,514 pieces, respectively), and are comparably similar in high-grade scarcity today.(Registry values: N1793)
